Due to a potential fall hazard, seat posts in the following straight stairlifts are being replaced:

Acorn Outdoor Stairlift

  • Acorn Slimline Stairlift
  • Acorn 120 Stairlift
  • Acorn 120 Superglide Stairlift
  • Acorn 120 Outdoor Stairlift

The units were made between 2007 and 2011 and have serial numbers between 110101209781 and 110202352678. These serial numbers appear on a silver label on the stairlift’s carriage body cover, as well as underneath the steel footrest. Acorn is replacing the seat post on these stairlifts.

Consumers who purchased one of these stairlifts should contact Acorn at 1-800-361-2836 or by email at to arrange to have the seat post replaced free of charge.

If you have already been contacted by Acorn or an authorized dealer and your seat post has been replaced you do not need to take further action. Anyone with family and friends who may have one of these stairlifts should make them aware of this notice.
