It’s an unwanted inconvenience at any time of life to have to renovate your home, but even more so in your later years when you’ve got your home just how you like it. So if you’ve come to the point where you need a stairlift to retain your independence and continue enjoying full use of your entire home, how do you cope with the mess and upheaval that the installation will cause?

You don’t have to worry about the mess with an Acorn Stairlift! Some customers have told us they put off having a stairlift installed because they couldn’t face the disruption and the prospect of expensive rewiring or redecorating. They were pleasantly surprised to learn that with an Acorn Stairlift there is no mess, no fuss and no need for structural work.

All Acorn Stairlifts are attached to the stairs, not the wall, so there is no need to go drilling through plaster or reinforcing walls. Our stairlifts are specifically designed to support the light but strong aluminum stairlift rail at exactly the right height above the staircase and the correct distance from the wall. They are only fastened into place once our experienced Acorn installation technician is satisfied they are in precisely the right place, so there is no ‘trial and error’ approach. There is no need to remove stairs or carpets and the rail supports can be fixed to any type of staircase, no matter if they are stone or wooden.

There is no need for rewiring either. Our award-winning stairlifts simply plug into the nearest convenient wall socket, running off the domestic 112v electricity supply. The powerful batteries in the stairlift carriage are rechargeable and charge whenever the stairlift is in the ‘docking’ position at the top or bottom of the stairs. Using these high-power and reliable rechargeable battery packs also means you’ll never be left stranded on your stairlift part-way up or down the stairs.

Acorn’s revolutionary FastTrack® system of interlocking stairlift rail sections means any adjustments can be made on site by our skilled installers, without the rail needing to be sent back to the factory for modification. Our installers’ vans are like mobile workshops and warehouses all in one, containing everything they need to make sure you have the perfect stairlift precisely matched to the contours of your staircase.

The installer’s job is only finished once the customer is entirely happy with their new Acorn Stairlift and fully comfortable with how to operate it.

So if you’ve been putting off getting a stairlift because your worried about the disruption and upheaval it will cause, with an Acorn Stairlift you need worry no more. To find out more give us a call today at 888-211-1245.
