Many of our customers have some form of diabetes. We understand that trying to find foods that are good for you, and keeping your diabetes under control can be frustrating at times.
 
According to DiabetesSelfManagement.com, here are some foods you should try to avoid as much as possible to stay within the recommended daily sodium intake:
 
      1. Cured meats like ham and bacon
 
      2. Packaged foods with salty brines like pickles and olives
 
      3. Condiments such as mustard and barbecue sauce
 
      4. Some canned vegetables, broth and seasonings
 
Instead, try to find low-sodium versions of these foods, but beware and always check the packaging. Even though the packaging is labeled as low-sodium, the product still might contain a lot of salt.
