A new year has started and we all make plans and goals for the new year, but sometimes it is hard for people to stick with, or accomplish their goals. Below are 6 tips from the AARP’s Life Reimagined Ambassador, Emilio Estefan, a music mogul and philanthropist, on how you can reach those goals and make this year the best it can be.
 
Start small - Take one step at a time going toward your goal and be realistic when setting goals - success doesn’t happen overnight.
 
Renew and refresh - Wake up every day and focus on creating something new, or making something better in your life.
 
Be flexible - Change is inevitable, so when making progress towards your goals, remember to be flexible with your time. Manage the important events in your life such as anniversaries and birthdays by setting aside time to pause on your goal and focus on those important moments.
 
Keep it to yourself - Be determined. Work hard to accomplish your goals and once you achieve them, you can share about what it takes to reach them.
 
Never miss a moment of happiness - Working hard is important to reach your goals, but make sure to set aside time to spend with your friends and loved ones and make memories.
 
Don't stop trying - Don't give up! Stick to your goals and keep fighting even if, at times, you fail.
 
Here's a happier and healthier life in 2018!
