Does Medicare cover any of the costs for buying a stairlift?

Medicare does not presently cover stairlift products.
Unfortunately, they do not consider stairlifts a “medical necessity”. Until this changes, all we can do is try to point the financially needy in the right direction. Hopefully the following information will assist you.
