Status
Normal - Power Down / Sleep Mode
Description
No display shown. Lift is either receiving no power; or is in sleep mode.
Solution
- Check that the power switch is in the ON position
- Activate the directional paddle to wake the stairlift from 'SLEEP' mode
Code: A1
Status
Normal - No Charge
Description
Lift will beep. Lift has been parked off a charge point, and is receiving no charge.
Solution
- Activate the directional paddle and drive the stairlift to a charge point.
- Check that the mains supply has not been turned off
Code: A2
Status
NORMAL - Lift moving up
Description
Lift is in operation, and moving upward. Armrest toggle has been activated.
Solution
- Lift is operating normally
Code: A3
Status
NORMAL - Lift moving down
Description
Lift is in operation, and moving downward. Armrest toggle has been activated.
Solution
- Lift is operating normally
Code: A4
Status
NORMAL - Lift moving up (remote)
Description
Lift is in operation, and moving upward. Remote control has been activated.
Solution
- Lift is operating normally
Code: A5
Status
NORMAL - Lift moving down (remote)
Description
Lift is in operation, and moving downward.Remote control has been activated.

Status
NORMAL - Battery is charging
Description
Charger connected and operating properly
Solution
- Lift is operating normally
Code: C4
Status
NORMAL - Battery is fully charged
Description
Charger connected but not charging - battery is at maximum charge capacity
Solution
- Lift is operating normally
Code: C5
Status
FAULT - Battery fault
Description
Charger connected but not charging - battery is not found, or is faulty
Solution
- Contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: E1
Status
NORMAL - Safety edge activated
Description
Footrest UP safety edge has been activated
Solution
- Check the footrest UP safety edge for obstruction
Code: E2
Status
NORMAL - Safety edge activated
Description
Footrest DOWN safety edge has been activated
Solution
- Check the footrest DOWN safety edge for obstruction

Status
NORMAL - Safety edge activated

Carriage UP safety edge has been activated

Solution
- Activate the directional toggle switch and drive the stairlift to a charge point

NORMAL - Key switch off
Description
Key switch is in the OFF position
Solution
- Check that the key is in and turned to the ON position

FAULT - Relay Fault
Solution
- Reset the stairlift (power off for 30 seconds)
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: F2
Status
FAULT - Brake fault
Solution
- Reset the stairlift (power off for 30 seconds)
- Drive the stairlift to a charge point, and leave to charge for one hour
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: F3
Status
FAULT - Motor fault
Solution
- Reset the stairlift (power off for 30 seconds)
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: F4
Status
FAULT - Motor over-current
Solution
- Reset the stairlift (power off for 30 seconds)
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: F5
Status
FAULT - Battery Fault
Solution
- Drive the stairlift DOWN to a charge point, and leave to charge
Code: F6
Status
FAULT - Final limit overrun
Solution
- Hand wind the stairlift up OR down (see hand-wiring)
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
Code: F7
Status
Fault - OSG switch
Solution
- Hand wind the lift UP to reset the OSG (see hand-winding)
Code: F8
Status
Fault - System lock-out
Solution
- Reset the stairlift (power off for 30 seconds)
- If not resolved, contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance

FAULT - Multiple operating error
Description
More than one error has occurred
Solution
- Check that more than one of the faults in section E are not present, rectify if possible
- Refer to section E if a different code is displayed after checking and rectifying
- If not resolved, please contact your authorized Acorn dealer for assistance
