Installation of the Sit / Stand Frame
The Sit / Stand Frame is an addition which allows the user(s) of the stairlift to choose to ascend/descend the stairs in either the usual seated position or to stand on the footrest, whilst holding onto a special folding steady/security bar for stability. It is ideal for those who may have problems with bending their knees, or where multiple users with different requirements will be using the stair lift.
The Frame is designed so that the stairlift will not operate if the safety arm is not in it’s correct postion. It is available for left-hand or right-hand fitment. It attaches to the standard seat on the stairlift.

Kit Contents:
1x Frame
1x Safety Arm
1x Fitting Kit
Step 1
Place the ‘U’ bolts around the seat-arm cross member and insert through the holes in the uprights.
Fasten the ‘U’ bolts in place using the 1/2″ nuts and tighten securely.
Place the rubber protectors over the nuts.
Step 2
Remove the nut, bolt and spacer from the frame.
Step 3
The safety arm should be installed with the bend facing away from the stairway.
Step 4
Attach the safety arm with the plastic spacer located between the arm and the frame.
Step 5
Tighten the nut and bolt so it causes friction between the safety arm and frame whilst still allowing the arm to be moved up and down.
Step 6
Slide the two rubber covers together so they cover the joint.
Step 7
Remove one of the white leads from the seat swivel switch (located on the seat post) and connect to one of the leads from the sit/stand frame.
Connect the other lead from the sit/stand frame back to the seat switch.
Step 8
Move the safety arm up and check that the digital display on the carriage reads 4.
Step 9
Move the safety arm down and check that the digital display on the carriage reads 1.
